Personal Insights
What drives you and what do you enjoy most about being the Marketing and Communication Manager at NPF?
Clear, consistent, and purposeful communication is what drives me in this role. As the marketing manager, I want to make sure that the NPF brand is accurately represented with our clients and the entire West Michigan community.
What was your journey to the investment world and NPF specifically?
Throughout my career, I have worked in marketing departments in different industries, including professional services, healthcare, and food and beverage. I was a stay-at-home mom for several years before joining NPF in a part-time role.
What are the values that drive you in your professional and personal life?
I once worked with an attorney who wrote a piece for first-year associates called, “The Best Advice I Ever Got.” In it, he listed off 10 life lessons to follow in your career. Two of my favorites were “Stay Curious” and “Be Nice to Everyone.” I’m always pushing myself to be brave and try new things and also be respectful.
Interesting fact about your life story?
My husband and I moved to Louisville, Kentucky for three years. We went to the Kentucky Derby, explored the Bourbon Trail and made lifelong friends.
When you are not at NPF, what are you doing?
When I’m not at NPF, I am a soccer mom, school volunteer and home chef. In my free time, I’m an avid Formula 1 fan. I’m always on the lookout for other F1 fans in West Michigan!
What’s my favorite restaurant in West Michigan?
Phil’s Bar and Grille in Saugatuck. The atmosphere is cozy, the staff is welcoming, and the food is amazing. Our family loves to grab dinner and then walk along the channel to watch the boats.
