Personal Insights

What drives you and what do you enjoy most about being a Client Relations Manager?
I love to solve puzzles and come up with solutions–working with clients and with the team here at NPF to do just that has been great.

What was your journey to the investment world and NPF specifically?
I started in retail banking after college as a Personal Banker, took a detour through grad school intending to come back out into the business world and instead stayed in academia as a professor for a number of years. I also opened a yoga studio during that time and while working on some accounts for myself and my business was asked if I would ever want to come back to the bank? I said sure! I went back to the bank, this time as a Relationship Banker and was licensed for investments. Then by a stroke of pure luck I was recruited here!

What are the values that drive you in your professional and personal life?
Honesty and Integrity are really important to me, I hope to be the person my parents always told me I could be–it’s a lifelong work in progress.

Where did you grow up and where do you live today?
I grew up in Ann Arbor but have lived in West Michigan for more than half my life now. About a year ago we moved south of Grand Rapids to a large property on the River–trying out my hand at farm life, it’s been an adventure so far!

What is your favorite book…movie…band…podcast…sport?
I loved “The Time Traveler’s Wife” and “The Giver”. But in the last handful of years there have been a number of non-fictions I couldn’t put down, like “Just Mercy”, “Educated”, and “Hillbilly Elegy”–currently reading “Dirt Road Revival”.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
I love spending time with my family and being outdoors. I’m my happiest when I’m in the water, hiking through the woods exploring, or covered in dirt digging in my garden.
