Personal Insights

What do you enjoy most about being a Research Analyst?
My desire to continually learn and grow both personally and professionally. One of the aspects I enjoy most about being a research analyst is that it’s not static, things are constantly changing every day and we need to be monitoring the effects of those changes for our clients. I also really enjoy the variety of industries and companies I get to follow and analyze.

What was your journey to the investment world and NPF specifically?
I started my career in commercial banking and then became interested in the investment world and finally decided to make the change. I came to NPF after meeting a few employees and learning about the firm and its investment management approach. I liked their investment management style, but I was even more impressed with the people. Everyone on the team was incredibly intelligent and more importantly, genuine. After meeting all of them it was evident that they truly cared for people and I knew this is where I wanted to be.

What are the values that drive you in your professional and personal life?
Reliability and integrity are the biggest drivers for me. I find it particularly important that the people in my life, both personally and professionally, can rely on me and know that I will do everything I can to help. I also believe it’s important to always be doing the right thing.

Is there a person or experience that influenced you most?
I would say my grandfather is one of the people who has influenced me the most. He always treated everyone with respect regardless of the situation. He was very compassionate and always went out of his way to help others, even if he barely knew them. He always took a genuine interest in everyone he interacted with and made them feel important. His actions were a great example of how people should be treated.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
I enjoy being outside and active whether it be running, biking, or hiking. One of my absolute favorite things to do is hike with my son, Kyler. We often explore different parks/trails around West Michigan. One of our favorites is Saugatuck Dunes State Park.
