What drives you and what do you enjoy most about being a client relations manager?
I love building lasting relationships with our clients and helping them achieve their goals.
What was your journey to the investment world and NPF specifically?
I graduated from Aquinas College in 2018 and worked as a tax specialist for 5 1/2 years. I wanted to broaden my knowledge in the financial world outside of taxes and knew I enjoyed the aspect of having communication with clients. I got a lead for the CRM role from a current employee at NPF and liked the values and work environment NPF stood for.
What are the values that drive you in your professional and personal life?
Patience, compassion, and integrity. Patience allows me to deepen my relationships as I listen and respond to situations. Compassion helps me create a supportive environment and value my relationships with others. Integrity helps me build strong relationships that stick to my values and principles.
Where did you grow up and where do you live today?
I grew up on the east side of the state in Rochester Hills, MI with my parents and three siblings and pets. Halfway through my junior year of high school, I moved to Shanghai, China (due to my dad’s job transfer) to finish high school. After high school graduation from Shanghai American School, I moved to Grand Rapids for college at Aquinas College and have been in GR ever since.
What is your favorite restaurant in Grand Rapids/West Michigan?
I love trying out all the new restaurants/cocktail lounges around Grand Rapids. I do not have a favorite but will gladly give you suggestions of places around the city. I also enjoy attending concerts at different venues around the city like Van Andel Arena, Intersection and 20 Monroe.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
I love spending time with my family and friends in my spare time. I am an aunt of 5 and love spending time with my nieces and nephews. I get together with friends in the area to try new restaurants out & enjoy happy hour or even cook and try new recipes with them. I also enjoy spending my free time traveling and going to various places around the world.
